ward off the seize and strangle of an existential crisis 
by getting some fresh air 
looking in the window of a cake shop 
centring yourself in the silence of an afternoon 
dying your hair in the sink of a new friend 
asking questions 
about why it burns 
like soda through the nose 
but in the middle of your chest 
try breast stroking across dew-covered grass 
cannonballing into an urban planning textbook 
or shitting in the ocean 
watching what ailed you 
just float away.
